Community Terms

1. Who we are

The AgenticFire Community is run by AgenticFire (agenticfire.co.uk), makers of fire alarm monitoring and diagnosis software. Membership is free and open to anyone in or around the fire industry.

2. Your account

Register with a working email address, keep your password to yourself, and hold one account per person. Your display name is what the forum shows — your email address is never published. Questions are visible to anyone (including search engines); replies are visible to signed-in members.

3. Your content — and how we may use it

You own what you post. By posting, you grant AgenticFire a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish and use your contributions — including to develop, train and improve AgenticFire products and services, such as the fault-diagnosis models this community helps make smarter. That licence is what lets a good answer keep helping people (and panels) long after the thread goes quiet.

Deleting a post hides it from the forum, but copies may persist in backups and in datasets or models already built from it. To close your account, contact us via agenticfire.co.uk.

4. Marketing

We send marketing email only if you opted in (the unticked box at sign-up). You can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in any such email, and we don't sell your details to anyone.

5. House rules

Be civil and stay on topic. No spam, no abuse, no unlawful content, and don't post other people's personal details. One more, because this is life-safety kit: advice here is peer discussion, not an engineering service — always verify against BS 5839, manufacturer documentation and your own competence before acting on it.

6. Moderation

Moderators may remove content, lock threads, or suspend accounts to keep the forum useful and safe. Verified-engineer badges are granted on application and may be revoked for misuse.

7. Changes

If these terms change materially we'll update this page with a new version date. Continuing to use the forum after that means you accept the updated terms.
